‘Mirror, mirror on the wall….”

July 31, 2008

Have been reading up on beauty supplements and the hoohas on Collagen, so when Rae and I passed Fancl yesterday after our dinner at Ajisen; I was lured to walk in. And we left the shop with 3 cartons of ‘miracle’ drinks for me.

My new ritual would be to drink one bottle of the blue bottle thing before I leave the house in the morning, this will whiten my skin (no, no, no, not like M.Jackson), diminish any dark spots or those threatening to emerge. For the night, the Collagen drink before I retire for the day. This supposedly plumps up the skin with moisture and good fats so that fine lines/crow lines and whatever else undesirable lines would have no place on my face. Can’t wait to see if it will actually work. Skeptical but am willing to give it a try.

Rae: She can’t, mama.

Me: Why?

Rae: Its crayon lah

A different Dinner

We had these for dinner on a mandane Tuesday.

Real easy to prepare, although it would have been cheaper and cleverer to just go to Burger King for it. The cheese itself would have gotten us 1.5 set meal at BK. But like Hubba said, we know what went into the sandwich and its fresh.

Everyone enjoyed it and were happily nursing our big bellies.

Something came back to haunt us

Curling her fingers into a claw-like position, bending her head a little, she smiled at Hubba and these words escaped her pursed-lips “My precious

Must make her perform for Bobby, he would be so tickled, I’m sure.

PS: We went to Movies-in-the-park with Leni & Bobby when I was about 5 months preggy, and I sat through 3 Lord of the rings in one sitting. Don’t know about you, but I was warned about the ‘dangers’ of watching horror movies and/or ugly creatures. The foetus supposedly takes the form or some similarities from it. Phew…mine caught only the vocabulary.
