Picnic

October 29, 2008

Too cute for words and the interaction between Antoine and Rae are just too sweet for any description.

MacRitchie reservoir is nice for picnic, better then Botanic Gardens at least that’s what I feel. Its not half as crowded, and the people that are at the reservoir are friendlier. Kids had so much fun and Jenny and I had a good time chatting too. As it was not crowded we were not stressed by other rowdy kids or worried about our kids being a  nuisance to the others. Perfect place for future playdates!

In my thoughts…..

I like this song a lot, sang by the multi talented Tanya Chua.

Surprise Birthday dinner

October 28, 2008

My best pals threw me a surprise birthday dinner, I had suspected when they mentioned going for dinner at PS Cafe located at Dempsey Road. We usually have quite normal fare unless there’s an occasion such as Christmas, new year and birthdays. But for some reasons it slipped my mind through dinner, and only recalled when the waiters surrounded our table holding a yummy, Chocolate Blackout cake with a lighted candle. And they sang the birthday song for me! I was so amused as this is the first time I’ve had waiters singing the song for me!

Food was great, service was impeccable except that they won’t let us change to the other table which was bigger, ambience was romantic with soft lighting and smelt of fresh Tiger Lilies(two giant bunches of them were placed at the counter in a very big and tall vase). I was so stuffed to my nose despite having skipped lunch, but still made myself ate a mouthful of my birthday cake which was totally yummlicious!

I feel blessed and loved and really thankful for great friends like them!

Tennis

October 27, 2008

My brand new tennis shoes which I got from Hong Kong in July, it finally saw daylight. Hubba and Bobby played the game and both tried to coach me, and even played a mini game with me.  As the saying goes “Too many chefs spoils the soup”, I started to get a little confused although they were both really saying the same things to me;”don’t bend your wrist!”, “Lock your arm”, “lock your Arm”, “I said you must LOCK YOUR ARM!”

I gave up after about 20mins.

Mum’s birthday Dinner

October 26, 2008

We ceelebrated my mum’s birthday on Wednesday last week at Sakura near my place. I think I won’t patronise them again. Food was really not nice. And Rae developed a tummyache half way through the dinner, I don’t think it was caused by the food there though.

Within office hours please!

October 21, 2008

Wish I had made that clear in my reply, so since I didn’t do that in the first place, thou shalt honour thy word. Albeit Reluctantly.

In a work email:

C: Would it be fine if I come by at Xpm on Friday?

Me: Apologies, I have family commitments after work hours. How about a tele-appointment instead? Any time/day at your convenience.

C:Ok. Tonight at 10pm. Call me.

Sigh….somebody, anybody, please shoot me already…….
